Job description

The Senior Software Engineer Test Lead role will involve working alongside Developers, Software Architects, other QA team members and Senior Software to shape and implement the technology and product deliverables that will drive forward this strategic initiative.

The platform team will be more aggressively adopting newer technologies, architectural principles and approaches to development, deployment and monitoring. The Senior Software QA Engineer will be critical to ensuring that test will be conducted at the right level, of high quality and maintained in the future.

There will be a mixture of small, but strategically significant projects, and also large scale complex programmes of work, all delivered in an Agile format with direction from Product Management, but with delivery via a tightly contained teams focused on quality deliverables across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Set- and develop the testing strategy for Ellos Group IT.
• Implement and fine tune our internal processes when it comes to testing.
• Maintain and drive our testing frameworks.
• Define the toolbox to be used for implementing a modern testing strategy.
• Work closely with Developers and Product Owner/Managers in an Agile environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics and Informatics or equivalent
• Ability to work with developers and QA team members to produce automated test cases
• Self-starter and self-sufficiency are a must, ideal candidate should have the ability to look for solutions and alternatives to any problem
• 3+ years of practical experience in software automated testing
• Good knowledge of HTTP protocol
• Knowledge of programming principles
• Knowledge of QA engineering principles
• Creative and critical thinking oriented, objective and open-minded

Desired skills

• Experience with server-side specific tests: performance, load testing, stability tests
• Experience in client-server topology focusing on real-time processing and high availability systems
• Have experience in working with Jenkins
